Night train or freezer?! - How to get from Bangkok to Kho Phangan

our journey from Bangkok to Kho Phangan took over 24hours! And yes the trip was worth it! I think we took all vehicles you can think of! At first we had to take a taxi to the Bangkok Central Station! And this Central station looked like old.... very old... like built up in the colonial era... And I think it was build during the time....

The second we entered a guy came straight to us and asked us where we wanna go....like everywhere, but after checking his outfit and his ID I told him and he sent us to an agency.... in the end we met the first ladyboy (he told us immediately) he took us to the agency and Robert was really really surprised, that he didn't figured...kkkk

Anyway with agency we booked our trip from Bangkok to Kho Phangan.... So the whole ride.... And for Thailand the service was kind of brilliant... Even if you had to trust the people... but sometimes it is good to trust people, right?!

So we started with the southern line at Bangkok central station at 10:50pm..... 

Here is the inside of the stations hall...

The train always departs at platform number 5! 

On the other side an (we thought drunken or spiritual overflowed) monk.... straggling from one platform to platform and ending up at this bench....

With this paper we should get the bus from Surat thani to the ferry peer.

There we are sitting in the train.... It was so freaking cold, that I immediately put on my hoodie....

And the train stewardess gave us some blankets.... Thank you stew! So we rolled for long 9 hours in the icebox! Most of the time half sleeping.... most of the time a little uncomfortable..... but afterwards I felt more safe then expected and more comfi and I can recommend this way to travel....

Finally in the south!

And of course you have to cross the rails.... no separated way to get out kkkk

Outside of the train station there was immediately a woman which got us and took us to a bus.... because we had the "golden ticket" I mentioned above....

The bus reminded me of old Thai movies.... or the Vengabus..... I felt like in a party bus and no speedometer or something worked... even the "new" watch they installed was broken...kkkk 

Anyway, we had to transfer once the bus and during the ride we saw landscaped like this!

Finally we got to the ferry.... a little bit old, but it was okay... so I finally went back sleeping....

Then we had to get a taxi... again.... I know it is not hard, but if you want a taxi which looks like it could make it to the hotel and the price is acceptable.... It takes time.....

Anyway after getting it we jumped on the back of the truck and the driver took us to the hotel....

 At first we had normal streets.... but after a while we drove on top of the mountain in the middle of the island.... and the streets started to get dirty! kkk

 And so my leg hair got a new color! And our pants, and luggage and shoes and and and..... anyway after a 1h ride we got to the resort.... and we were transferred to the resort car..... thats the kind of car we are riding when we want to get to the fitness room, the reception, our room, the beach and so on.....

We love nature!
